Monday Linky Party: My African Mango Experiment

So how has your Monday been? Mine hasn't been too bad. I am proud of myself though, for exercising! I don't want to jinx myself, but last week I exercised 3 days out of the 7 and I am hoping to do the same this week or even bust that up and do 4! Why all the exercise? Well, I have been thinking for a while now I really want to shed some kilos. I am not after much, I don't like being greedy as its not in my nature, but 10 kg is all I am after and I have been trying to lose this for about 3 years now. My story goes like this. I work hard and I lose a kilo or two then the next week I gain some, then I lose, then I gain, and then I gain, and so on and so on. Some days I get upset about it and others I think I should embrace the figure I have. The thought or idea of embracing what I have lasts all of a day or so and things go backwards when I head to the shops to try on clothes. In most shops I am in between sizes, so too tight for some regular sizes and to loose for plus sizes, lucky me hay!!

Anyway I recently took some time away from work and decided that I should take advantage of this and get myself into shape. I thought of all the ways I could go about it and then I heard an ad on the radio about African Mango pills. I first came across African Mango last year on a blog. I researched it but it wasn't readily available in Australia. I decided to wait and see if it would make the shelves of my local health food store, then that way I would know if it was legitimate or not. So after hearing this advertisement on the radio I checked the health food store last week and sure enough there it was. It cost me $35 for a months worth of pills. Since I haven't been able to lose the weight I figured I would try these to see if I could actually lose weight and also to see if these pills do work. I believe I am a good example of what a lot of women go through. I have had 4 kids, I worked part time for the last 3.5 years and I have not been able to lose the extra kilos I slapped on with baby number 3 and number 4.  I tried Lite n Easy, but that didn't work for me. I spent 6 months at the gym last year and while I do believe I got fit and toned, my weight pretty much stayed the same but at times the scales showed a weight gain, which I do believe was muscle, but still it didn't make me feel good. I am not always a good eater but lately I have been a lot better and feel that it should make a difference. So, now with the aid of a little more spare time to exercise, and the trial of the African Mango, I might see some changes? Well after week 1 my weight has stayed the same!! At least I am not gaining, but I am eating well and I am exercising, and if I get anything at all from this trial, I hope to be able to get a lifestyle of eating well and exercising regularly. Anyway, I will post throughout the next couple of weeks. At this stage I have a photo of my starting figure (body shot) but I am not feeling up to posting it right now. I am hoping to post it perhaps at the end to show how I have changed - if I have!

Interesting things you should know about African Mango is that the ingredient is actually not from the flesh but rather the seed and its actually not a Mango, it just looks like an unripened mango. Make sure when purchasing African Mango, that you purchase it from a reputable source and that is has a high concentration of the actually African Mango seed, otherwise its not worth it.

Have you tried African Mango or another diet pill to lose some extra kilos? If you have a diet story or are also working hard to meet a weight goal, then join in on the Melting Moments Linky Party. This week I am co-hosting for Melting Moments, but its still part of the Meandering Monday Blog hop too. I love reading everyones stories and recipes, so please spread the word of the Linky party and be sure to check out Kaz and Ang's blog.

Meandering Monday Week long Blog hop: App Reviews

I have already done some reviews of my Ipad apps that I have currently on my Ipad. I really love my apps and I only add what I think is quality and the kids will use or I will use. One of the kid's favourite app at the present is ABC IView App.

ABC's(Australia) IView is available online as well as in app form. My 3 year old loves how he can access his favourite TV shows whenever he wants. His favourites include, Timmy Time, Rob the Robot, and Arthur.  My 11 year old loves Girls in Love, and my other boys love Action Heroes. We only use IView at home with the Ipad as we can access it using WI-FI which I think is the most cost effective way to use it, but it also means that the kids can watch their shows in their rooms and just before they go to bed. Its like having a portable TV and they love it! The IView app is also FREE to download.

What apps do you have and what do you recommend? I have co-incided this weeks blog hop with my latest review because I would really like to hear about what apps you have and if you also share apps on your blog posts. If not, again, there is no particular theme, just ideas on what posts share. You can share a post that is from your past or present.

Meandering Monday Blog Hop: Love Song Dedications

Have you ever called the love song dedication line and requested a song? I often listen to Richard Mercer (Sydney Radio) talking to people who call up and discuss their love life, or lack their of and either giggle or cringe at some of the discussions. Either way, everyone enjoys a good love song right? I do, but I have never called up. If however, I did decide one day that I would call up, the song I would request is, John Denver's Annie's Song. I love this song. The words are just so beautiful and every time I listen to it I feel so grateful I have a man that I love in this same way.....awww, I am getting all sentimental!!!
Anyway, enough of that stuff, I will leave you with the youtube video of the song so you can decide for yourself.

As per usual, you can share any post of your choice, but maybe this week you can share a post of your own favourite love song or how you met your spouse or partner. Or maybe if you have written a post about some relationship advice. Either way I would love to hear from you.

Welcome back to Meandering Monday Blog Hop

This is a little late but its still Monday and you get plenty of time to add your blog post. Wow! What a week I have just had! I am so glad the week is new and fresh and the weather is nice and sunny, even thought is freezing butt cold! My kids and myself were all sick last week and our youngest is still a little under the weather.

Our eldest  child was hit first, with a virus that hit her throat and she had a temp and was really not well. She had her all important year 6 Canberra (Australia's Capital City) excursion so she spent the first two days of the week home to get over it as best she could. She was able to go to the camp with her anitbiotics in hand. She had a great time and I was so glad for her that she was able to spend time with her friends and enjoy the trip.

On Tuesday evening, we were at parent teacher interview night for our eldest son, and as the teacher asked our son, "So what do you think I might talk to mum about?" our Mister 6, decided this was his cue to puke up all over the desks!! It was not funny at the time, but re-telling the event always makes me giggle. Thankfully the teacher is a mum and was so helpful. So Mister 6 spent the rest of the week at home. He only puked  up 3 times altogether, so I couldn't conlcude it was gastro, or perhaps it could be strain of gastro? Then our youngest came up with a temp on Wednesday night, and he was kept home from daycare the rest of the week. Our only son to skip it all is Mister 9 and he is still fighting fit!!

I fell sick on Wednesday as well. It hit me in the throat first, with a painful cough that made my whole body hurt and I tried so hard to avoid coughing, to no avail. I've kind of likened it to breast feeding! Before you say, what tha? I shall explain. When it came to breast feeding for me, my body didn't take well to it at all. It hurt a lot for me and I would always get cracked and bleeding nipples and each time the baby would cry for a feed I would almost cry because I knew what pain was coming my way. This cough that I had was like this. I knew what pain was coming my way and I tried really hard to avoid coughing, I even got the cough medicine (which was crap!) to keep me from coughing, but I just had to brace myself and deal with it. I also had to unfortunately cross my legs and hope I didn't pee my pants each time I coughed, oh,yes the wonderful joys of having children!!  Thankfully, the rough cough has done its dash on me. I still cough, but at least my body and brain doesn't ring for a few minutes after.  Only our youngest is walking around aimlessly asking for food he knows full well he won't even eat! I am sure with another day at home he will be good.

So that was my sickly week. I hope yours was better.  Thanks to all who joined in the last blog hop I have read some amazing stories, so thankyou. Thankyou to the kind person who left the link on how to create a badge, as I now have one that lives to the right. Meandering Monday Blog Hop

So are you sitting around trying to work out how to not do what you should be doing? Well here is a good way to keep you busy doing something we could call 'research', so that you can justify why you aren't doing what you should be! You never know, you could find a good recipe for dinner, some mummy advice you needed, a great craft project to at least start, some kids crafts you should consider, some Ipad apps you should really buy, or a way to save money, or a home organisation method you never thought of before! My Meandering Monday Blog Hop is a way for bloggers to link up a blog post that you would like to share. It can be themed anything. I am not good with rules, but I do have to have some, only a few!

1. This is a family friendly blog and so I will only accept family friendly material and please no posts with swearing.

  2. A Google Friend follow, tweet, and or facebook share of the blog hop would be appreciated.

  3. Link up will run for a fortnight and linky will close Sunday 24th June. I will start new link ups each fortnight, hopefully!!

4. As for the badge, I will work that out someday, or maybe one of you can link up a blog post on how to make one!

Have fun, and I hope you find something interesting and please comment and follow at least a few new blogs.
