The use of felt is becoming an increasingly popular medium. I see it used in fabric art, hair accessories, and other forms of recycled and reinvented artwork. I personally love felt and love to think of ways I can incorporate it in my creations. I came across Fix Design Craft Supplies late last year and I just love going to her store and seeing the colours and textures that are expressed so amazingly through her photographs. I am yet to purchase, but I have so many wonderful ideas that keep coming to me the more I go through her store. I sometimes have to stop myself from going to her store because I know I don't have the time to get to projects I want to. One day, I will purchase some butterflies, the cats, the birds, a doilie and some flowers and make something amazing!
I am mother to 5 kiddos. I have three teenagers, who can be Meanagers sometimes!! My other two are 9 years and 18 months old. It's interesting to say the least juggling not just different personalities but going back to baby steps again! This is my life, my food, my humour, and my sanity....well, at least I think I am sane!!

ETSY FAVOURITES
So for those that know me well, one of my all time favourite websites and craft stops is Etsy.com. I love this site. I fell in love from first site (a bit cheezy, but I had to say it!). I talk a lot about it mainly telling people about the amazingly creative people that inhabit out world. I have bought a lot of 'crafty stuff' over the years I have known about it but I also like to go here now and then to 'window/screen' shop or just for inspiration, either for my own craft or just to get back to that feeling that we can all be creative. Anyway, I thought I would share some of my favourite stores that I have on my favourite list. I hope you will also like them and maybe make Etsy and regular place to shop!
I am going all the way back to the very beginning and my very first favouite shop, EndangeredCreations, is run by an Australian Lampwork artist, who I only know as Steph. She now lives in Sydney and her work is just to die for! I originally came across Steph on Ebay, but have continued to follow her on Etsy. Her work is bright and when you see it in real life you want to lick it and see if it tastes good too!! I have only bought beads from her, and mainly beads I have requested which, if she has the spare time, is always willing to do personal orders. Steph also designs and creates amazing sterling silver jewelry which is truly unique. Here is some of her work.
You can also check our her WEBSITE.
The shop, Beautifully Handmade Designer Buttons by TESSA ANN is another amazing shop. Tessa makes buttons from polymer clay, but she doesn't just make ordinary buttons, she makes amazing buttons that have intricute detail. Each buttons seems to tell a "Once upon a time" story and I want to know the ending to each one! The pictures will speak for themselves, but if you are after a different gift for a little one, or wanting that personal touch to a scrapbook page or canvas for a room, then you will want to see Tessa's designs.
Tune in next time for my Etsy Favourites and I will also be doing my Madeit favourites too!

RUBBERMAID MOP REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY!!! YAY!!!
I do not like mopping floors one bit! I have spent many years working out the best way to do it in the shortest possible time! My last purchase, was actually not my own. My husband purchased this mop:
I am sure a lot of you recognise this type of mop with the sponge in its last moments of life! Looks depressing doesn't it? Here are just a few reasons why I can't stand this mop:
1. The sponges don't last very long and cost $6.50 each to replace - how can this be? $6.50 for a sponge that has a life span of what, 1 month at the most - just ridiculous!
2. I have to use both hands to get the full motion out of this puppy
3. It hurts my back to use it.
4. I have to keep going back to the bucket of solution and then at the end I have to make sure its thoroughly clean - more of my time!
I actually didn't use this all that much, I preferred, and now this is 100% true, to get on my hands and knees and clean the floor that way!
I grew up seeing my mum (and later my older brother as this became his household chore) on hands and knees cleaning the polished cork floors with Dettol and an old rag. This was how I thought people washed their floors in their homes! Until I got married and my husband bought me a mop like the one pictured above. I hated the first one and went about purchasing all different types over the years until we came back to the one above.
When I was offered the opportunity to test drive the new Rubber Maid Reveal Spray Mop I jumped at it! I didn't want to spend another $13 odd dollars for another packet of those neon yellow double pack of sponges and I really hoped I was going to find something so much better than what I was putting up with!
At first glance, it looks a little like a Swiffer, if you remember these! However, the interesting difference is there are no moist cleaning wipes to attach. The mop head is a microfibre pad that can be easily removed and washed in the washing machine. The fluid canister is again easy to remove and you can put whatever cleaning solution you like to use for your floors, or , like me, you can use hot water. The spray part is a trigger action and this is found on the handle and is so easy to use. You get a wide spray that I don't think I have seen before in mops like these.
How did it clean? Well, surprisingly it was really fun to use - even my husband took over the cleaning!! It is super light weight and it only takes one hand to manoeuvre it. I didn't have to put my back into it at all. For the stubborn stains, I sprayed a little extra on the stain and rubbed a little hard and it was removed. I was so happy with how easy it was to use, I actually told my husband I would be happy to clean the floors more often now that I had this to use!! In fact its so easy to use, its a job that one of my kids could do as their household chore!
I didn't want to just have you take my word for it, so I took my very first ever before and after shots of my floor so you can see what kind of job the mop does.
Floor Before
Floor After
I didn't clean my floors on purpose for a good week or so, so I could really put the mop to the test. So that's over a week, with 4 kids and two adults - it did a pretty darn good job if you ask me! It took about 10 minutes to clean my whole house using the Reveal Spray Mop( we have a small single story house). We have wooden floor boards, floating floor boards, and slate. It was so quick and easy. I would normally spend 40 minutes to an hour cleaning my house with the other mop, or longer cleaning on my hands and knees.
Is there anything the Reveal Mop can't do{ Homer Simpson voice}? Well yes, there are a few things I didn't like. Firstly, you are limited to where the mop can go. I have kitchen drawers that have a fairly big gap between the floor and the last draw, but the mop couldn't go too far under it - but neither can my vacuum!! Still its a bit annoying. Secondly, the price is $39.99 and I would say even if it was $34.99, it would be a no brainer to give this mop a go, or even $29.99 they would sell like hot cakes! Am I being too frugal? Well, even that being said, I would buy one as I know how good they are. But do keep in mind, fellow moppers, that you don't have to buy replacement pads or special solutions to make it work. The only other thing I would say is it takes a little getting use to moving it around as the head of the mop moves a little too freely sometimes.
So there you have it, my review on a great product. This is a great product that will save you time and money. I am so happy to recommend the RubberMaid Reveal Spray mop that I am giving one away. All you have to do is:
