Sinchies Review and Giveaway

When I travel, I always think of how best to transport my shampoo and conditioner. I know you can purchase smaller bottles of your favourite shampoo, but what a pain to have to purchase more and also make a space to pack them into your toiletries bag which can become a bit of a feat in itself. Recently I came across a great product that rescues you from this dilemma!  Sinchies are a great product of varying sized plastic reusable pouches that can be used not just for shampoo and conditioner but all sorts of things.  Sinchies can be used for the kids' lunch boxes, for picnics, work lunches, baby food etc.  Sinchies are freezer  and dishwasher friendly making them super versatile.

So how did this idea of reusable pouches come about? Well Sam, worked as a family daycare educator and saw how popular the pouch products are for kids. I know all about this because when my youngest was 12 months I loved purchasing the baby food pouches because I loved not having to worry about glass bottles in my bag, and having to have a spoon as well. I just took the lid off and gently squeezed the food into his mouth, it was even better when he got older and could do it himself.  Unfortunately though, I would throw our the pouch and purchase more. Now my kids are older and they always ask for pouch products but 4 kids makes these fairly expensive, especially when they are used once and then thrown away. With Sinchies, you don't throw it out, you can easily clean out each pouch and use it again and again! You can also use your own recipes for your kids which makes it easy for them to eat healthy everyday.

If you love the idea of Sinchies but aren't so good about ideas on what to put in the pouches, Sam has this covered on her website with recipe ideas and you can also follow her on Facebook to discover new ideas or share your own ideas on how you use your Sinchies.  Here are some ideas I came up with.

Kids Lunch Box
fruit purees
frozen juice or other drinks - also helps to keep things fresh in the lunch box

Adult Lunch Box
dressing for salad
smoothie - for quick breakfast on the go
porridge - brekkie on the go!
pasta sauce
tomato sauce -or any kind of sauce to add to your lunch!
frozen drinks

Everyday Uses
shampoo and conditioner travel packs
breast milk holders - got this idea off Facebook - awesome idea!
ice blocks
soup - get the 1L pouch and freeze for later use.
craft glue - good control for little hands
craft paint - handmade or store bought

* An important tip to remember. Don't fill your Sinchie to full capacity, especially if you wish to freeze your pouch.

I would love to have some Sinchie Pouches so that I can offer healthy homemade smoothies, purees & yogurt to my son who is a fussy eater. He loves to eat things that come out of a packet but buying from supermarket involves a lot of money.Sinchie pouches will help me to feed him homemade healthy treats (which are rejected otherwise) without spending lots of money.
I would use these pouches to pack yogurt, custard & other healthy options in his lunch box. Moreover I will use these to carry my moisturizer, sun screen and oil when away from home.

I like to buy things like yoghurt in bulk so this would be great for us to have single serves in lunchboxes etc. I also have some other ideas kicking around about making my own Yogo-style dairy dessert and semi-freezing juices to make slushies!

I like the idea of freezing potion sizes of soup. And I never would have thought of using them for glue etc- great idea!

I love reusable products. Sinchies are fantastic. I have a little one starting prep next year and cannot wait to start filling her lunchbox with 'nude' foods.

I'd love to try making my own summer slushies for my kids to eat by the pool this summer

I like their versatility and would be using them mainly for smoothies and for craft work (obviously making sure I don't mix up the Sinchies!).

I would love to try Sinchie pouches for many reasons, especially less waste going to landfill, really knowing what my child is eating (if I fill it with home made goodies) and that it's cost effective. It's also great to know that my handbag will be protected from any spills- which have happened once too often!
My son will only drink yoghurt from 'squeezy bottles'. Hence that's the first thing I'd use the sinchies for!

What a marvellous idea! My baby has gone from being a whopping 90-something percentile to below average as a 12 month old because he is super fussy about his food. But he loves fruit pouches.

This would definitely make mushy fruit and vege easier to carry around to feed him.

I'd use them for yoghurts.

What a brilliant idea! I'd love to load them up with some pureed fruit and voghurt before popping them in the freezer. Give them a squeeze and 10 minutes defrosting time on the counter and the babies have a frozen treat just as good as the big kids!

We have been sans kitchen for 6 months and my 13 month old has been eating from pouches. Only problem is that now she won't eat anything I cook and will only eat from a pouch. Maybe I can trick her into eating my food if I give it to her in a Sinchie!
